The country needs more color!

When we look at the posters on the street and the luminous advertising, they just want to bring us to buy a special good, to go in a special store or to elect any politician. Otherwise our cities and villages are looking rather empty. Primarily in the wintertime, when the trees are bleak, the landscape colors brown-gray and the sky is clouded, much people missing the color in their life. Someone would be depressed, other ones mutates to workaholics and other would block themselfs in their depraved flat.

Me was over-worked, bad spirit and dark-looking too, when i went over the grey parking area over the snowcovered street to my blondbeige house. I was thinking about the next spring. I think about just one thing: a big-bang-yellow-green dandelion, who looks over the snow like a little hero to cast out the bad spirit and the depressive of the past weeks and month.





Guerilla-crochet and guerilla-knit


With fortune I found in the next time a wonderful homepage who's owner knit and crochet at trees, posts, street signs and park bench backrests.
I've got the bug by this idea, to bring a little bit more color in the life for all of us. So I began my first work. And so I build this homepage to animate other peoples to decorate our environment as a table for a groovy-multicolored party.






Graffiti-crochet/ Graffiti-knit


For the word "guerilla-crochet" there exists another term: Graffiti-crochet rather graffiti-knit. To graffiti there is in my opinion a little difference: The crocheting and knitting around objects I approve, I demend so. But I denounce the sprayers. To spray means to destroy. Some people likes the picture, others likes it not, others feeling hurt or threatened by looking to this.

Crocheted or Knitted Objects are eventually just as be subject to flavour (was that right english? -.-) - but it gleam warmness and the feeling of security, which no one can deny. Just the cuddly and naturality of wool let us think about a warm pullover and a soft blanket.


So, and besides - when someone think, this is looking bad, he can cut it with scissors away. No damage, no cost for the cleaning... just freedom for all and everyone.
